<미드나잇 썬 Midnight Sun>

병우(남,21)와 희수(여,18)는 구화교육을 받은 청각장애인 남매이다. 고등학교를 졸업하고 24시 패스트푸드점에서 아르바이트를 하는 병우는 일한지 2년이 넘었지만 여전히 말단 아르바이트생이다. 가뜩이나 최근에 들어온 신참이 자신을 무시하는 통에 매니저와 직급 문제로 예민한 병우. 신참의 실수로 억울한 누명을 쓰게 되자 결국 극단적인 선택을 하기에 이른다. 같은 시간 희수(여,18)는 온라인 게임을 통해 알게 된 동준(남,19)이를 처음 만난다. 동준에게 마음이 쏠리는 희수는 자연스럽게 동준과 동준의 친구들을 따라 그들의 아지트를 따라 가게 되는데…

Byung-woo(M,21) and Hee-su(F,18) are hearing impaired brother and sister who have learned oralism. Byung-woo since graduating from high school have worked at the 24 hour fast food restaurant for 2 years but still is a minor part timer. A newcomer joins the restaurant crew but he ignores Byung-woo. Byung-woo gets more sensitive about the position and come into conflict with the manager. As the newcomer’s mistake wrongly accused to Byung-woo he makes an drastic decision. Same time Hee-su meets Dong-jun(M,19) who she got to know through online game. Hee-su abstracted to Dong-jun spontaneously follows him and his friends to their hideout.

구화교육을 받은 청각장애인 남매인 병우와 희수. 오빠 병우는 24시간 패스트푸드점에서 일하고 있다. 2년을 넘게 일했지만 승진은 먼 이야기고, 새 로 들어온 신참은 심지어 자신의 실수를 병우에게 뒤집어 씌운다. 같은 시각 동생 희수는 온라인에서 알게 된 동준과 그의 친구들을 따라 외딴 곳에 있는 그들의 아지트로 놀러 간다. 어디선가 많이 본 듯한 익숙한 상황들. 그러나 영화는 주어진 것이 아니라 사회적으로 구성된 것으로서의 장애에 대해 예민하게 인식하면서 이야기를 다른 방향으로 살짝 비튼다. 뛰어난 인권영화인 <미드나잇 썬>의 발견이 반갑다. (Byeong-woo and Hee-soo are brother and sister who received deaf education. The older brother Byeong-woo works at a 24 hour fast food restaurant. He has been working there for 2 years, but is far from being promoted, and even the new employee pins his mistake on Byeong-woo. At the same time, Hee-soo goes off to a remote place to hang out with Dong-jun, whom she met online, together with his friends. Familiar scenes come up but the movie gives a slight twist by perceiving the disability more sensitively, as something socially constructed, not something given.
