수도 서울을 기념하려 남산 아래 타임캡슐이 매설되던 94년도 여름. 이문동 옥탑에서 동거하던 연인 솔과 현. 느닷없이 이별을 고하는 솔에게, 현은 둘의 반지를 서울 타임캡슐에 넣어 사랑을 영원하게 만들거라 한다. 현은 솔의 이별 통보가 믿기지 않고, 솔은 현의 말을 믿지 않는다.

그리고 2024년, 타임캡슐 공원의 안내원과 골동품 가게 직원이 만난다. 두 사람은 솔, 현과 참 닮았다. 여자는 오래전 쓰여진 편지의 내용을 확인하러 타임캡슐에 찾아왔다고 한다. 두 사람이 공원을 거니는 동안, 남자는 마음이 동해 여자에게 반지를 건넨다.

In 1994, the municipality of Seoul buried a time capsule to be opened 500 years later, marking the city’s 1,000th anniversary. Along with various objects reflecting everyday life in the 1990s, the capsule contained items donated by the citizens of Seoul, each imbued with personal memories.

In the summer of 1994, a couple is living together in Imun-dong, Seoul. When the woman suddenly announces their breakup, the man says he will place their rings in the city’s time capsule to make their love eternal. The man cannot believe that she is leaving him, and the woman does not believe what he says. Then, in 2024, a man and a woman with strikingly similar faces encounter each other at the Time Capsule Park.
