2009년 어느 여름, 방학을 앞두고 신난 친구들과 달리 성적표를 받은 선희는 시무룩하다. 선희와 달리 전교 1등을 한 쌍둥이 선호, 선호와 더 친해 보이는 워킹맘 미숙, 집은 뒷전이고 매일이 회식인 경태. 어느 한 명 기댈 곳 없는 가족, 선희의 여름은 유난히 길다.

It is late summer in 2009, and unlike other children who are excited about the start of summer vacation, Sun-hee seems sullen. Sun-hee’s mother is indifferent to her, while her twin brother is constantly obnoxious and her father comes home late every night after drinking. When it feels like there is no one she could rely on, the summer feels especially long for Sun-hee.
